Cottages.co.uk Gets a Major Makeover
Not many web sites turn 18 this year, and to celebrate, Cottages.co.uk are pleased to announce the official launch of their new interactive website, which makes finding your perfect holiday cottage a doddle.
Jon Cockerill launched Cottages.co.uk in 1995, providing web visitors with an index of the hundreds of independent self-catering accomodation agencies across the UK. He comments, “I always maintained that the small agencies had many of the most idyllic properties to offer, and wanted to provide an index that helped people find their perfect UK break. We successfully achieved this with the old Cottages.co.uk site, and are proud that we created a directory that people came to rely on.”
However, with the index still in place, the new website moves one step further and individually lists the top cottages, log cabins and apartments located within hotspots across the UK. The team have truly searched the stock of the country’s leading letting agencies for places with something special about them, then packaged them all up in an an easy-to-use directory. Looking for a place in Cornwall with sea views? Check out the selection here: http://cottages.co.uk/cottages_in_Cornwall.htm Prefer somewhere in Scotland with a pub nearby? http://cottages.co.uk/cottages_in_Scotland.htm Here are your options: Other examples of special cottages include a beautifully renovated church hall in Norfolk, a boathouse protruding into Lake Ullswater, and a thatched former net loft right by the Cornish coast.
Discussing the site’s makeover, Jon Cockerill said: “It would have been easy to choose just the most expensive properties, but we were looking for places that are “special” at every price point. Indeed, the site even has detailed advice on how to search other sites and tweak the results to show the lowest-priced offers.”
The new site is bursting with colour and plays to customer experience, allowing visitors to peruse hundreds of hand picked UK holiday properties at their leisure. Once you have selected your ideal property, you are re-directed to the owner or agent’s website where you can book your UK holiday. The Cottages.co.uk team have also implemented a new device which extends customer satisfaction, and shows that the site offers an ideal holiday cottage, log cabin or apartment for each visitor.
Not found what you are looking for? Then Ask Hannah This new device presents visitors with a submission form to ask any question they desire: whether they need to know which beaches are dog friendly, or which is the best pub, the team at cottages.co.uk assure a quick and accurate response. This service is believed to be the first of its’ kind to be launched on a directory site, and affirms the positive changes that have been made by the Cottages.co.uk team.
The new Cottages website launched on 4 January 2013 and is receiving an excellent response from industry professionals throughout the UK. Want to review the new website yourself? Visit www.cottages.co.uk and let the team know what you think!
